During the month of November we remember our loved ones who have passed away. We remember them especially in our prayers.

Do This in Memory

Second Class is extra special because many of our boys will receive the sacraments of First Penance and First Communion this year.

In preparation for this, we are taking part in a parish program "Do This In Memory". Once every month, we lead a Mass in our parish church,  especially for children taking part in this program. To find out more about the "Do This In Memory" click here.

Having fun with Science!

Over the weekend, some of us visited the Science Fair in our local GMIT. The boys told of meeting a yellow boa snake, lizards and all sorts of creatures! More enjoyed the flight simulator.

Spellings can be lots of fun!

Each week, we have a new spellings list. At school, we practise spelling in class and in our computer room!

At home we can also this also - click on the following link to access a free spelling website that has lots of spelling games based on our weekly spelling lists!

Listen to our reading!

We love reading! We read at school and at home everyday.

This term, we are focusing on reading with expression. When we read, we change our voices to make our reading of our stories more fun!  Click here to listen to some of our classmates as they read short stories from our class library. More to follow!
